Small-batch, handmade skincare products crafted with natural and homegrown ingredients.
I have always been an avid gardener and one of my favorite plants is calendula (pot marigold). I began growing it as just another flowering plant to brighten up the garden but soon learned of its healing properties and wanted to know how to put it to use.
The very first product I made was a healing calendula salve, made with calendula-infused oil, that treated all sorts of skin irritations. I shared it with friends and family and they began requesting more!
As my garden expanded so did my desire to grow more plants for multiple, beneficial uses. I began growing plants like comfrey, lavender, yarrow, and bee balm. I started infusing more oil, researching, and making more recipes.
As i shared my creations with more friends and family, they continue to give positive feedback and encouragement. The idea of expanding into a side hustle became a real possibility for me but I knew that I wanted to be more educated about the safety and effectiveness of my formulations. This led me to enroll in the Diploma Program at Formula Botanica. I have officially completed my coursework and graduated with distinctions! I am very proud of my final project, the ColoRadical Recovery Lotion, and excited to finally be able to share it with everyone. I have learned so much and am now able to safely create my own formulations and not rely on static recipes. I have continued to enroll in new courses and am a member of The Lab at Formula Botanica in order to hone my skills and continue to learn about new techniques, ingredients, and safety measures.
My focus is continuing to develop new formulations, build up inventory, and selling locally. While craft fairs and markets are my main means of selling, I have opened an online store for purchasing my products with a local pickup option. If you want to stay in the loop about future products and purchasing options, be sure to subscribe to my newsletter.
I currently do not ship products but I will have items available for purchase at local craft fairs and markets, as well as online for local pickup. Click the button below to subscribe to my newsletter to stay up to date on new items and how/where you can buy my products.
